Program Objectives

Students enrolled in the Education program will complete courses in general education, Bible, professional core, and education. The program prepares students to apply educational theory and practice within Christian school, church, ministry, and other educational settings. Through selected education electives, students may develop additional competencies appropriate to their educational and vocational goals.

Students completing the Education program will exhibit the following: 

• Educational theories and methodologies demonstrated through effective teaching. 

• Ability to evaluate current educational methods and trends from a Biblical worldview.

Depending on their selection of education electives, students may also develop additional competencies: 

• Elective selections emphasizing elementary education may provide additional preparation in teaching skills applicable to classroom experience and student teaching. 

• Elective selections emphasizing education administration may provide additional preparation to develop and lead an education program.
