As Easter draws near, we’re reminded of the power and purpose of the cross. This original song, “What He Died For,” written by HBC senior Justus McDaniel, points us back to the heart of it all — Jesus gave His life so we could be free.

He bore our shame, died on the cross, and rose again so that who we were never lives again.

This is the message of Easter.
This is what He died for.
