HBC's Official COVID-19 Update:
Students and Parents,
We are facing unprecedented times in our country. As a follower of Christ, we must exercise wisdom and faith. Certainly many in our country have been gripped by fear during the last few weeks. The crisis overshadowing our country should cause us to turn to God for help. Prayer should be our first choice, not our last resort. The words from 2 Chronicles 7:14 shine forth as an unmovable beacon of hope, "If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land."
Heritage Bible College continues to monitor the situation concerning this medical emergency. In accordance with Governor Kemp's declaration on March 16, 2020, Heritage Bible College will be moving all class instruction to an online format through March 31st, 2020. Professors will provide the content to each student that would have been provided during normal class sessions. Class syllabi should be followed and assignment requirements will remain the same.
HBC will follow the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Guidelines to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 Virus. HBC will take extra precautions including the practice of social distancing, promoting basic hygiene, limiting crowd sizes, increasing cleaning protocols, and updating future plans in the event of confirmed cases in our immediate area.
During this time, HBC will allow the dorms to remain open in order to provide housing for our student population. This eliminates the need to travel and the possibility of contracting the virus during travel. Meal plans will remain as schedule with no interruption anticipated.
This situation is being monitored consistently throughout each day and HBC is committed to doing the best thing to protect and serve our faculty, students, and staff. Future instructions regarding the return to class and normal operating schedule will be communicated through email, posted to the college website (https://www.heritagebible.college/), and Instagram (@Heritage474). Please keep us in prayer as we will do the same for each of you.
God bless our country,
Dr. Ryan Ralston, Ph.D
President, Heritage Bible College
New Book Available:
Tackling TULIP will help Christians understand the errors of Calvinism and why this theological system should be rejected and refuted. This book includes a helpful investigation into the key passages that Calvinists use to defend their beliefs. Romans 9, Ephesians 1, and John 6 are examined in light of the Calvinistic interpretation and are not seen to teach what Calvinists assert. The theological errors that Calvinism presents are also exposed. Questions like "Do we have free will?" and "Did Christ die for everyone?" are answered in the affirmative by both church history and biblical revelation. Finally, the practical problems of Calvinism are explained. A belief in Calvinism eliminates the possibility for Christians to have assurance of salvation and tends to diminish the importance of holy living. Tackling TULIP will equip the body of Christ to defend against the erroneous theology of Calvinism.
